I am looking for a deep South Vintage girl name that is along the same lines as Woodrow, her soon to be brother. Boyish names are also good 🙂
Wow, very unique request. I like specific ones like this where people know what they want! Firstly I would ask if you have Southern roots in your family tree. Most Americans do. Looking in the family tree (if you have one that goes back far enough) is a great start for inspiration.
Some ideas:
Arington
Vina
Micah
Eliot
Adelle
Olivine
Savilla
Marjory
Wylie
Mamie
Lulabella
Beah
June
Aurelia
Willie Mae
Elisabeth
Louisa
Julia
Clementine
Tip: If you decide to look back in your family tree for hidden name gems, pay attention to siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as to middle names, names from the opposite gender, surnames, and location names. All of those provide unique and valuable ideas to add to your list. I do this with my own names list and it makes it really personal and feels meaningful. It’s also a great way to make use of names that may not otherwise see the light of day (anymore), and helps give your baby a name no one else will be likely to have.
